Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Breko collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to breko.online and covers everything on the site.

Who we are
Breko is a free browser games site operated from the United Kingdom. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for this site. Contact details are on our contact page.
What we collect
When you play a game
We record that a game was played so we can show what is popular. This is stored as a count against the game, plus a one-way hash generated from your IP address, browser user-agent and the current date.
We do not store your IP address. The hash cannot be reversed to recover it, and because the date forms part of the hash it changes daily, so it cannot be used to follow you over time. Its only purpose is to tell repeat plays apart within a single day.
Cookies and local storage
We use two kinds of storage:
- Necessary. Remembering your cookie choice, and any progress a game saves in your browser. These are required for the site to work and are not used for advertising. Game saves stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
- Advertising. Set by the advertising partners listed below, only after you accept. These are used to select and measure ads.
Advertising partners
The site is funded by advertising. When you accept advertising cookies, the following third parties may set cookies and receive your IP address, browser information and the pages you view on this site, in order to select and measure advertising:
- GameMonetize — serves the ads shown inside third-party games
- Google AdSense — Google Ireland Limited
- Adsterra
- Monetag
- HilltopAds
- ExoClick
Each operates under its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with that data. If you decline advertising cookies, none of these are loaded and no request is made to them.
The games themselves
Breko carries games from two sources, and they behave differently:
- Open source games we host ourselves. Served directly from breko.online, so playing one sends no data to any other company. Each of these names its author and licence on the game page.
- Games provided by GameMonetize. These load in a frame from GameMonetize’s servers. When you play one, GameMonetize and its advertising partners may receive your IP address and browser information, and may set cookies, in order to display ads inside the game. That happens under their privacy policy, not ours.
Games of either kind may save your progress in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. Because we deliberately avoid storing anything that identifies you, we usually hold no personal data to act on — but if you believe we do, contact us and we will respond within one month.
You can withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, which is as easy to use as giving consent in the first place. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Breko is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
Play records are automatically deleted after 30 days. We keep no other logs that could identify a visitor.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
