About Breko

Breko is a free browser games site. 1547 games across 14 categories, all playable instantly, none of them asking you to download or sign up for anything.

Where the games come from

Breko carries games from two places, and we think the difference is worth explaining rather than hiding.

Most of the catalogue comes from GameMonetize, a games network that licenses titles to sites like this one. That is where the bulk of the arcade, puzzle and racing games come from, and it is how the site can offer thousands of games rather than dozens.

The rest is a hand-picked open source collection we assembled game by game and host ourselves. Every one of those names the person who made it, the licence they released it under, and links to the original source code — so if you like one, you can read how it works or go and thank whoever wrote it. Most games sites cannot tell you either of those things, and we think that is a shame.

Those open source games are served directly from breko.online, so they load fast and send your data to nobody. Games from the network load from their servers, which our privacy policy explains in full.

How the site is paid for

Advertising, and nothing else. We do not sell data, we do not run a premium tier, and nothing here is pay-to-win because nothing here has anything to buy. Our privacy policy names every advertising partner and explains exactly what they receive.

Some games are published under a different name

A few games are clones or homages of famous titles. Game mechanics are not something anyone can own, but names are — so where a game arrived under a trademarked title, we publish it under a different one and say so on its page, along with the original name.
