Adventure games trade reflexes for curiosity. Instead of testing how fast you can react, they hand you a world and let you work out how it fits together — which door needs a key, which character knows something useful, which object in your inventory is not what it appears to be. Some are told through point-and-click exploration, others through a character you guide across a series of connected areas, and a few unfold almost entirely through conversation. Sessions here run longer than in most other categories, because progress comes from understanding rather than repetition, and stopping halfway through a puzzle rarely feels satisfying. They also tend to be forgiving: dying is uncommon, and the challenge sits in noticing the right detail rather than executing a move perfectly.
